Recent advances in percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) technologies, including mechanical circulatory support (MCS) devices, have facilitated treatment of high-risk patients with complex coronary artery disease (CAD) and low left ventricular (LV) systolic function as well as patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) complicated by cardiogenic shock.
